On a side note, not to lessen anything GVP has achieved, but just for
clarification, shouldn't somebody make that distinction in Wikipedia
(English language section anyway) between the British and French ranking so
whoever do a search could understand that even though he has three stars,
his rank was Major General and not Lieutenant General? Now a day not just
anyone can make changes to Wikipedia anymore, so for those that have the
ability to, wouldn't it be wise to make that clarification so others
wouldn't think that we are so crave for glory that we even have misleading
information? Just a thought.

Thank you Victor for clarifying the difference between American, Britain,
France, Laos and Thailand. Never thought about a six stars general before
until you mentioned France. It's very interesting that they have a seven
stars and a title that's even more exalted than the seven stars rank.
